About the Briefing

Discover. Connect. Belong.

Founded in Pelham. Reporting across rural Georgia.

The Pelham Briefing is an independent publication celebrating the people, places and possibilities of Pelham while exploring the stories that connect rural communities across Georgia.

Founded in Pelham and guided by the belief that every community deserves to have its story thoughtfully told, The Briefing shares local achievements, traditions, events, businesses and opportunities — with a growing emphasis on helping young people develop their voices as junior correspondents.

Pelham will remain our founding community and the future home of The Briefing Room, our corporate office, interview studio and gathering space. As the publication grows, we plan to visit communities throughout rural Georgia — and eventually report from all over the state through contributors writing from their own hometowns, brought together by storytelling and future Rural Table farm-to-table gatherings.

Written from North Georgia, with roots in South Georgia — and soon, from communities across the state.
